The Tone Generator is a highly practical network installation and troubleshooting tool which features a single or multi-tone signal, two test leads and a 4-conductor modular cable. The signal emitted by the Tone Generator can be easily traced by the Probe, even when cables are in a bundle or hidden in a mess of punch down blocks or wall plates. The Tone Generator and Probe can be used to verify cable continuity, identify wiring faults, determine line polarity and voltage in network (Cat 5 and Coax) and modular telephone lines. The Probe is equipped with a tone amplifier and an LED indicator that detects audible frequency tones for accurate tracing and identification of wires.
The LANtest Pro is a small hand-held tester that enables the user to quickly read the status of Ethernet twisted pair cables. It tests for faults such as open circuits, shorts, crossed pairs, reversed pairs and split pairs in seconds. The LANtest Pro includes one master unit and one remote unit easily operated by one person testing patch cords or installed cables. Moreover, the small remote unit is designed to slip into the master unit to prevent loss or damage. The compact design is also very user-friendly and can be conveniently carried to any job site.
The right tool to quickly test proper LAN operation after completing a move, add or change (MAC)The Pinger Plus is a unique handheld tester used for installing and maintaining computer Local Area Networks (LANs) running the TCP/IP protocol. It uses the powerful PING function at either 10 or 100 Mbps to verify connectivity, to check transmitted and received data integrity, to indicate network traffic loading by measuring round trip time, and to provide the MAC address of an IP address and warn when the default gateway cannot be located. The Pinger Plus can PING using variable packet sizes and up to 99 times consecutively. In addition, PING can be performed for a single IP address, or a range of IP addresses. The Pinger Plus also identifies reversed polarity for improperly connected wire pairs, and provides a port ID feature with selectable blink rates to identify to which port on a hub or switch the wall outlet is connected. This is the first handheld tester to provide gigabit over copper link detection. When connected to a hub, switch or NIC, the Pinger Plus displays the speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) and duplex mode (half or full) capabilities of the equipment. The Pinger Plus is an ideal tool for quickly testing proper LAN operation after completing a move, add or change (MAC). Trouble calls are easily handled by verifying link connection and running the comprehensive PING test. Resolve internet connectivity issues with the DHCP client mode that ensures a DHCP server is available and displays IP address assignment. Remote office support can be provided by connecting the Pinger Plus to the LAN at the remote office trouble point, and PINGing the tester over the internet.- PINGs at full 10/100 auto-negotiate speeds.- PINGs a single, a list, or a range of IP addresses.- Identifies 10/100/1000Base-TX link signals.- Stores up to 8 preprogrammed profiles that include Pinger Plus IP address, gateway address and 1 - 8 destination IP addresses that can be PINGed individually or successively.- Verifies LAN operation at a remote location over the internet.- Displays the MAC address for a tested IP address.- Provides port identification function (link light activation).- Identifies wire pair connections with reversed polarity.- DHCP client capability verifies DHCP server functioning and correct IP addresses are being provided.- Web browser interface for unit setup and software upgrade.- Alphanumeric keyboard for easy IP address entry.
Save yourself the time and cost of an extra service call! This easy-to-use tester helps novice home network users determine cable faults before calling for service. The SOHOTest-E (Small Office Home Office) tester is an economic solution to test the most commonly used cables in residential wiring, those with f-type and RJ45 connectors.Use this handy tester to determine wiring faults in network, phone and cable TV cables before or after installation in cable installations up to 200 meters (656 feet). Has a compact, lightweight design with a small form factor of 2in x 3in x 1in. Uses a pass/fail coaxial test. Includes a remote unit for single person testing.
The Network Controller for HDMI over IP is a Linux-based PC that allows users to control HDMI over IP products, supporting video wall and multiview connectivity. The Network Controller may be managed via a Web interface or the C2G AVoIP Control Smartphone & Tablet App.When installed on a local area network (LAN), the Network Controller will scan the LAN for connected C2G HDMI over IP products allowing the user to auto-discover, configure, manage connectivity and support firmware upgrades for the AV over IP devices through the Web interface. The Network Controller may also be managed by the C2G AVoIP Control App for a more user-friendly experience. An Application Program Interface (API) is available ― supporting several third-party partner control applications running on smartphones and tables.Note: When installed in an electrically noisy environment, an STP cable must be used. Also, cross-connection reduces the effective distance depending on the grade of twisted cable used.
This kit consists of the CT10 toner/blinker, the CT15 tone probe, the CC2 carrying case, and one RJ45 jumper cord; it is specifically designed for network managers and technicians. Toning an active LAN circuit can disrupt network traffic and is difficult to track due to cable twist and tone bleed. This test system works with both active and inactive (dark) cables, and features a port ID function that blinks the link light to verify cable connectivity. This feature also provides a simple and effective method to identify a connected hub or switch port assignment on active networks. This kit also detects shorts by using a built-in continuity check. Three different blink rates are provided to ensure compatibility with equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. Traditional toning (a total of four audible tones) with two different tone frequencies and patterns is provided for non-active circuit tracing. The CT10 toner/blinker has a female RJ45 connector for easy network connection to connect with the included RJ45 patch cord. It has a unique capability of user-selectable blink rates for compatibility with the widest range of LAN equipment. Detachable alligator clips can connect to punchdown blocks or unterminated cables. Auto power down extends battery life, and a built-in low battery indicator warns when battery replacement is required. The CT15 tone probe is ergonomically designed, and incorporates volume control, non-conductive plastic tip, and complete compatibility with existing toners.
